so here's the deal: I hit a deer last week while driving home, front end of my 2014 F150 is pretty messed up. Insurance will cover it, but I'm going to add a front bumper or grill guard for more protection. I drive a lot for work and think this will be a good idea. From what I've read, Ranch Hand makes good stuff. I'm looking at the legend grill guard right now, so when the collision center fixes the front of my truck, they can just add this on.

Do any of you OT ballers or oil field baws have any advice or recommendations?

TIA

Ranch Hands have way too much going on for my taste. Do you have a King Ranch? If so I would consider one of these low profile Road Armor bumpers and getting it painted to match the King Ranch tan trim. Very good look, just have to take the branding off the front. It is also winch-capable, unlike most Ranch Hand bumpers.

ETA: painted bumper with a cross bar

Those don't offer much grill protection. If you plowed a deer with one of those then it probably would roll up through the grill and possibly radiatior.

I do not have a king ranch, I have a Lariat, and, as stated above, that will not protect against a deer rolling up in my grill.

This is what I'm looking at getting:

How many more deer do you plan on hitting?

He probably sees a lot of them on the side of the road hence the reason he's looking to mitigate damage the next time around. Plus they taste great.

Buddy gave me his when he got rid of his 250, it was dinged up so I had it Rhino lined, it saved my arse from an 18 wheeler tire that I hit going 80. He used to guide hunts in Nebraska, said they would smack does with it all the time

Thinking about the legend grill guard for mine but I don't like how it's open over the lights on the 150, unlike yours that has more protection right there.

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense. There's a shite ton of F1 options out there though
