How do you get in it? Can't tell from google maps. You're right it does look very secluded from everything.

I still haven't gotten a definitive answer on where to launch over there. All I've been told was that there is a small launch somewhere along the road. I may have to go do a recon mission.

exit whiskey bay (hwy 975)
go north
pass up sign in station for hunting. there will be an atv trail and a seperate bathroom building
take next right on bayou manuel rd
you will follow it until you come to a 3 way (walking bridge to your left jsut before this)
take left on refuge rd
come to a T
take left on landing rd.

I will try to draw on a screenshot from google earth

ETA: now that I look at google earth I may have been fishing big alabama. just on the south end

Gotcha, ok, so this is another piece of it?

There's another small bayou to the west closer to sherburne that's actually labeled Little Alabama, but that one I can't see how to get in there.

There's a small road off of 975 at the very northern end of little bama that looks like it might lead to a launch. From the very vague directions I've been given, that seems to be the most likely spot. I don't know if that's private land or not though.

There's also Little Alabama Rd on the other side. Don't know if there is any place along there.

Ok, I took to a facebook fishing reports page and immediately got an answer. My previous post with the google maps photo, that IS the launch for Little Alabama. It is not private land.

So, if anyone makes a trip out there soon, verify and report back please.

That's correct, a friend of mine just told me that's where he puts in at Little Alabama. Said he'll put in there and try that and if nothing, then take out, go around the corner and put in in Big Alabama and fish the canals that dump into it.
