Just picked up some quail from Angola. These birds fly very, very well. Almost as good as wild birds. Ian runs the operation at Angola while getting some quail. He said to please get the word out that they have way too many quail left over. Like 15k birds and they need to get rid of them to break even so they can have birds next year.

You can contact him at (225) 625-6029. He said there could be a discount for large numbers bought.

We always hunt them in overgrown pasture. They like cover and too be out of the sun.

Something like this. Cut lanes in it so it makes it easy to walk.

If you want to put them out to train or to shoot, they work great. If you put them out for them start a population, it won't work. They don't have a survival instinct to avoid predators

$4 each, minimum order of 20.

The birds work better when the ground is open enough for them walk around. If a baseball can be put on the ground and rolled around without being stopped by grass

I wonder if you bought 15,000 of them and reslesed them if they would live?

No, because they don't have the survival instinct. Some would make it, but very few. Typically it comes down to habitat. There are a few wild coveys around most areas. If you provide good habitat (mainly burning in Louisiana) then you can have wild birds

Wild quail mortality is about 80%. Pen raised never work in the wild

That is a hell of a bump. I don't know of any supplies of flight quail anywhere in Louisiana.
