Fishing in Bay St. Louis

Got a house in Pass Chrisitian right off a canal on the bay that we're going to for father's day this weekend. Never fished in the bay or anywhere around it cause we just got our first boat. Recommendations other than the bay bridge? Hoping to find trout or reds somewhere.

Ooh, that is iffy. You can run due south to LA and fish the broken marsh. I limited out there last weekend. Also, there is a reef SE of the bridge where the old lighthouse used to be. I can't recall the name.

Okay thanks I'll see if I can track it down. I feel like I've seen the lighthouse but it was so long ago I have no clue where it was.

Shrimp under cork in Bayou Portage near the concrete plant for reds and flounder.
Flat boat off Isle Au Pitre for trout, but its about 10 miles out- there will be a million boats out there, so you wont be alone.

I will be there this weekend in timber ridge. I got a few areas for you to try. You got an email?
