Does it seem harder to get going if its already raining in the morning when trying to go fishing or hunting? Been raining here all day, and I can't find the motivation to go. The fish are already wet. They don't mind the rain. Why should I?

Some of my best days for both were in the rain. For hunting, a mid-late January day with a slow, steady drizzle makes it harder for me to go to bed than to get out. Killed a pile of bucks on days like that.

yep...I have duck hunted for years and consistently done better on rainy days...have to say however, it is getting harder and harder for me to convince myself to get out of bed when I hear it raining outside, though...

But, I will not usually leave to go out fishing if it is raining. Now, if I am already out fishing, that is a different story.

Fishing- Yes. I have a hard time getting going because rain usually means wind and I HATE fishing in the wind

Hunting- Not as long as I'm going deer or duck hunting. I won't go squirrel or coon hunting in the rain

I live on a lake.... During the summer months I run to the lake when it starts to rain

3 out of the last 5 deer I've killed have been in the rain. Have also had some good duck hunts with a light drizzle. Starting to think my rain suit is good luck.

Overcast with a few scattered showers isn't terrible but I'm not a huge fan of running in a boat when it feels like I'm getting shot with BBs in the face.
