Yep its tough committing that far out. But its a good deal if you can swing it.

what does the price include? Does the outfitter handle the tags and stuff? I have never done an elk or an outfitter trip.

i didn't really get past the dates. i know that it includes lodging which is in their house as i understood it to be. its public land hunting on horseback

It doesnt include tags. Includes meals and lodging. You have a guide, wake up eat and go. They clean all kills.
Processing fee cost extra. No trophy fees.
By the time you get gear. Tags. Travel. Tip. You have have around 5k in it.
Its national forest in montana hunted near gardiner. They hunt migrating elk out of the yellowstone park.
Google hells a roarin.

The lodging is a converted home. There is plenty of room. Internet. Cable etc available.

i know you said that you drive the trip, where are you leaving from? how long does it take? and how often do you go there?

I leave from denham springs. Pulling a trailer it was 2 16 hr days. 33 hrs we drove it straight on the way back.
My budget isnt huge but targeting a return trip in 2016
