Was surf fishing in Fort Morgan this past week and caught a few of these. I just tossed them back because they were all about this size, but what kind of fish is this? I'm not familiar with saltwater fish outside of trout and drum. Can't put my finger on it. Thanks!

Thanks fellas. Figured it was some kind of baitfish. Didn't even think of throwing it back out, i was just trying to catch anything worth a shite, couldn't even pay another fish to bite.
