Throw a night crawler around the cypress trees. Catfish every other cast.

Catfish were still biting good in the tree in the lake a couple weeks ago.
Canals around grassy lake should be heating up by now from bream

Are y'all seriously keeping 7-10 inch bass?

Not 7. But I keep and eat the shite out of a 10" bass

We were fishing a tournament with a 12 inch min. I could probably go back there now on a regular day and not catch shite. That's just my luck though

But to answer your question, I'll keep 10" bass all day. I don't go into verret expecting wall hangers. I do expect a good Saturday night frying fish and drinking beer though.

I don't keep them unless they are around 13in. But I can't bitch about what people do if it's legal. Kinda like the people that ice chest with 5 inch bream

Catfish were on every tree 3 weeks ago. Filled up and ice chest with ease.

Good deal. I'll be headed down that way tonight. Hoping the weather comes through and is down by midday tomorrow and we can put the boat in for some evening fishing.

Managed to catch a few big catfish on 6lb test under a cork with a cricket. I was impressed with my skill and patience on those. Also snapped the line 3-4 other times

This is my bream/sac a lait rig

So when you get a 6-7 pound catfish, you have to contain yourself

Caught 55 catfish on noodles in just a few hours using night crawlers for bait yesterday (5/18). Fished along the southern edge of the lake in the cypress trees.

If anyone gets on the lake today I'd appreciate an update on what the water looks like after last nights storm.

Be out there shortly. Had to do a couple things to the boat this morning. About to gas her up and head out. Weather showing it's clear till 1 and then supposed to rain from 1-4. Hopefully we dodge it all or it just passes through briefly.
