Never heard of it before, saw an article on LA Sportsman talk about it. Looked it up and saw that they come in multiple colors. Anyone got some reviews on it?

Yes. Didn't like it. Went back to Suffix 832

Slightly more wind knots and buried on itself in the reel when a good fish made a run and took drag. Those 2 things it seemed to do more than the Suffix 832 that I use now, so I didn't see an advantage or reason the switch.

Tried it. Went back to power pro. Now I use Powerpro Slick 8 for everything braid. Smooth smooth smooth, but the color fades fairly quickly.

Fins Windtamer greatest virtue is lack of wind knits while using on spinning reel. It's not better than suffix on baitcaters . I like it better than pp but not better than pp slick. Never use less than 50# braid on baitcasters. Diameter to small that's what causes the cutting in spool.

A guide recommended Finns windjammer braid to me about 3-4 years ago and I like it better than Power Pro. I'm am using the 20 pound test/6 pound mono equiv on my 3000 spinning reels. I have fewer wind knot problems with the Finns line. I just put the yellow line (been using green) on one reel and I like it so much i'm going to change to yellow on everything. I fish topwater and subsurface lures 99% of the time using about 24" of 20# or 30# fluorocarbon.

I like the yellow line simply because I can see it. I know exactly where my grandson just cast. That same guide recommended the yellow line. He explained that when he had 3 guys fishing live bait off the front of the boat he could "direct traffic" and knew where everyone's bait was swimming.

Using the slate green line is not really necessary.

NOW they have pink line.

Hmm I gotcha. I usually have a 2-3' mono leader tied on always. I might have to give this stuff a go. How does the price match up with other braids?

It buried on itself because you didn't put it on the reel tight enoufh. My powerpro did the same thing as that before I learned to spool it on one line, tighten the drag then spool it onto the line you want to use. Have to keep it tight.
I use powerpro because i can find it easier than finns

Gave up on Sufix cuz it faded so bad. Green line would be almost white after a month or so of use. PP never did that to me

I use 30 lb fins shock absorbing on all my baitcasters. I have 30 lb fins xs braid on all my spinning reels. Best braid on the market as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, maisweh, I agree on putting the braid on as tight as you can. I only use spinning reels. That probably goes for bait casters as well.

I used to split a new pack of of 150 yards of braid and use 75 yards of braid backed by mono.
Now I am just putting the entire 150 yards on the spool. It fits perfect on 3000 spools. Once the spool is loaded I walk all the line off and then put as much pressure on the line as I rewind the line on the spool. It's necessary to have a place you can do this. I have access to a small pasture without animals. Without the mono backing I have one less connection to "sweat" breaking although I've never lost a fish when I got to the mono. I have been spooled a couple of times by jacks fishing from shore.

When using braid with spinning gear it pays dividends to close the bail by hand and look down at your spool to make sure there is not a loop over spool especially when casting into the wind.

This is where you disclose you're sponsored by Finns.

That said, I was giving a bunch of it and I like it. You use the light stuff you're going to have issues with knots. You don't pack on reel, it's going to cut into it.

I am actually sponsored by FINS but having said that, I do actually use the product & I really like it a lot. If I didn't trust the product, I wouldn't use it. I've actually dropped several lure sponsors in the past because because I had issues with their products. FINS is quality braid & I would still use it if I wasn't sponsored by them.

I used to only fish with mono line before I got into tournament fishing. When I started fishing in these redfish tournaments I quickly realized that I needed to jump on the braided line band wagon. I tried several different brands of line. Suffix, spiderwire, ect. but I kept having problems with backlashes and wind knots. That's when I discovered FINS shock absorbing line. It has 10% stretch & it really helped me out a lot making the switch from mono line.

One thing that I have learned over the years is to use backing on all my reels. I always put 20-30 yards of mono on my reels & then tie on my braid & fill the spool.
