Definitely Kvd 1.5 but the one from bass pro used to be the exclusive one with rattles.

Lucky craft 1.5 golden bream, white splatter back
Lucky craft 2.5 same as above
they cost so much because they are worth it.
In one year I lost over 30,000 in winnings from fish pulling off on KVD 1.5. personally I will never throw one again in a tournament, don't get me wrong they will get bit, putting them in the boat is a totally different story.

KVD 1.5 in various colors
Bandit 100 and 200 series in watermelon red and chartreuse/blueback.

Always change out the hooks to Mustad Triple Grips. I also wish all crankbaits came with the oval split rings for the line tie.

Three words for you: Mustad Triple Grips. I catch some hogs at Toledo every year on KVD 1.5s, and I don't lost many fish. Those hooks keep em pinned.

Do you go up a size? Been looking to replace all of the trebles on mine.

1X strong 2X short? Or ultra point?

I use the 1X strong 2X short ones. And I do go up a size on the Bandits, from #6 to #4, but on the 1.5s I keep #4s on. The #2s are a little big for the 1.5s, and I tried them for a while but felt like I didn't get bit as much. May have affected the action.

ETA: These hooks allow baits to come through cover better than a normal round bend hook, also.

Thanks. The stock hooks have a little too much flex for my comfort. I wouldn't say I've lost a bunch of fish on them but they've been shook a few times. Gonna pick some up. Might experiment with a size up. If it ain't workin out I'll put the stock size back on.

It's hard to say one crankbait is my favorite.

Deep diving -larger mudbugs, old manns deep divers, dd22, bomber fat free shad 9

Mid range- rebel deep wee r, old bandits made in the usa Louisiana shad seems to be the best color for me, bomber fat free shads

Shallow - rebel wee r, rapala countdowns, rattletraps, bagley honey bee chatruse & black.

yep changed them with number 2 mustad triple grips just like KVD suggests. I have caught some big fish on them also, but when you lose more fish over 5lbs in 3 tournaments than you have in 7 years with a lucky craft (and I don't have to change the hooks)I decided it was time to go back, I'm not trying to get into a pissing match with you, just trying to be informative. In a tournament situation I wish everyone of my competitors would throw KVD 1.5 crank baits as it would give me a very good advantage but unfortunately some of them have wised up also.

I'm not gonna knock you man, everybody has different stuff that they believe in. It's all about confidence, and I have confidence in those hooks. I was losing a lot of good bass until I started changing out the hooks, but to each his own
