Anybody fish the False River Tuesday Night Tournaments? Is there more than one organization putting them on? Pretty cheap to fish and seems like a good time.

I used to. It was a good time. Took about 3-4 weeks for anyone to warm up to me. After that everyone was friendly.

Tell them your last name is Vosberg, and you'll fit right in. You'll also automatically win with that last name.

Been going on about 25-30 years now. I used to fish it at the beginning way back then.

Man thats no shite. Between them and Major you were fishing for 3rd. I fished it in the 90s and enjoyed the hell out of it. Caught some good fish, but even my best days I never finished higher than 2nd. Those guys somehow found a 6lb kicker every week.

I've never understood why some people feel the need to win so bad that they would cheat. For me its more about the accomplishment than the award. If I cheat there's no accomplishment just an award thats meaningless because I didn't earn it.

I always heard they had plenty of structure planted in key locations like the major drop offs. They also had home lake advantage.

They did place a lot of structure and knew the lake like the back of their hand. really good bass fishermen regardless.

But... like said before... I seent it.

Now, this was not the case in every cookie jar by any means, and quite a few others were known to pull this shite as well...

used to fish them almost weekly back in the 90's when my Dad was still alive. Used to launch from old Bonaventure's. Of course we had to get there early so we could get a cheeseburger first.
