False River hybrids

Loading the yak now and headed to the lighthouse canal at daybreak. My neighbor says the hybrids are killing sparkle beetles tandems jigged from the bottom back to the boat, seems easy enough. Updates coming.

Just put the first striper in the boat using 3” firecracker beetles about 4’ apart in about 30’ of water. It’s only a 10” fish, looking for a 20”.

shite yea man. My uncle and I found a school of them one evening and followed them with the trolling motor throwing speck rigs catching two at a time. Loaded the boat in about 20 minutes.

Ended up with one hybrid and two gaspergou. It just wasn’t happening this morning. Too damn hot.
