I'm around 112k so I was a little overdue. I was having misfires bad and it fixed it.

If anyone is trying to DIY spark plug change, there's the Ford mechanic on YouTube who's got some great videos. Can't remember the name but it's obvious when you search.

I wonder if it's as hard as it was to change the plugs on my '04 expedition. shite sucked.

6 cylinder so it was a little easier with all the extra room around the motor. Spark plug socket and a few various extensions is all it took.

Yeah the V8 made it a huge pain in the arse. 4 of the plugs were basically up under the console. Took me forever just to change one.

There's a sensor on top of the intake you should check as well. On my '12 model I had, I cleaned it with maf sensor cleaner and it helped. I changed my plugs using the motor craft platinum plugs and they worked well.

Throttle body sensor?

That's also on my list. Was it cheap to change?

I changed from factory tires to 33s at ~62k miles and added billstein leveling shocks. Was averaging 17.6 before. Now I'm down to 14.1. I mainly drive city, and when I take it on the highway, I can get back up near 20mpg. I'm hoping the 10ply 33s are what's killing me, it's a considerably difference when I take off, like I'm driving a big rig.

Needless to say, I'm pretty shocked that I dropped 3mpg.

Your calibration is also off, so you probably only lost half of what you think your computer is reading

Did you get your timing chain repaired or are you still running it as is?
I bit the bullet and bought a new one with the 5.0

Meaning your driving it as is? Didn't mean to ask a question just to piss you off. I genuinely curious since we had the same issue with our trucks at relatively the same time.

Been getting about 15-16mpg since the ko2 on my 2013 5.0

I have 2013 5.0 (60k miles) with level and 34's and get 12mpg. Used to get 14. I pull boat often so that doesn't help but I pretty sure Sea Pickle pulls his boat too???

FWIW my truck has been a little neglected as far as maintenance is concerned for the last 20k miles. Might be time for a little TLC.

cant remember which sensor it was. You have to pull the engine cover off and it was right on top of the intake. popped it off, cleaned it and put it back in. Pretty easy
