English Lab Breeders East Texas/Louisiana

Anyone have any breeders they recommend for Labs in the East Texas/Louisiana area? I'll be in the market here in the next couple months. Will mainly be a companion/family pet but will do a little training myself and take him on the occasional hunt, trails, camping, etc. Looking for a big stocky male with a big block head. Prefferably Chocolate in color.
I'm mainly looking at Labs because I've had one in the past and he was great, but I haven't completely ruled out getting a GSP/GWP (leaning English lab since they're supposedly less hyper and more mellow) but any GSP/GWP breeders would also be appreciated.

Can't help you on the labs, but look at VDD-GNA website for info on the GWP/Drahthaar for upcoming litters.

My wife's cousin breeds British Labs and trains them out of Houma. Here is the link to his website.

I got my lab from Bear Creak near Baton Rouge and I'm satisfied with him.

My dad got an English lab from North MS. He is stocky and blocky and much more mellow than Amnerican labs I have had in the past. By definition, English labs are white/golden so you may not have much luck finding a chocolate.

Yeah I've read that a few places lately. I've had one in the past and seen a lot in person that are big and bulky with the block heads that are chocolates so I'm not sure whats up with it, mine was AKC registered.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out.
