Downtown Baton Rouge Boat Launch

Has anyone launched there? I am thinking about putting in my bay boat and running some trot lines in some of the flooded batture ponds.
Besides possibly having your truck broken into or having riverside tow it, is there anything else I should be aware of?

No idea, I have fished it before from a kayak and never had any issues.
This is where I got the idea from: Downtown Catfishin, Baton Rouge

I always thought it was public. I don't know how I would feel about leaving my vehicle there, lots of vagrants.

If you are talking about the one just downstream of I-10 bridge we used that one for a long time for work. At very low water be careful you can drive off the end of the ramp. At high water the entire ramp gets submerged. It is probably ok at this stage.
We stopped using it because we were always getting harassed by the homeless people living under the bridge or in tents by the launch. They are like in stealth mode, you don't see anyone then all of a sudden they are standing next to you asking for money. Got to be a pain in the arse.

There are a lot of homeless people who post up right around there. They think it is their property and will frick with you and probably break into your shite.
They did it to me and a buddy and we went back there later that night and ran over all of their tents and copious amounts of stolen goods

Just go launch at the intercoastal in PA. Easy nice launch

That's a sharp looking flat boat, minus the Mercury.

Launch in PA and go through the locks?

Go the other way of the locks. Plenty of cats in the icw.
