Don't forget to zinc ya pecan trees

I dont know what it does for them but I was told by our county agent years ago that around here anyways pecan trees need extra zinc. Alls I know is if I dont I can notice a difference.

Foliar zinc sprays are a good way to get faster growth out of younger pecan trees. You spray zinc once every two weeks from budbreak to midsummer. Not needed so much for mature pecan trees. Link below is to a good handbook describing all the ins and outs...

I've always used consumable spikes. It's essentially a piece of metal you drive in the ground and the heavy metals leach into the soil.
