Usually the vet can connect the owner to the tag

If you can keep,it secure overnight the vet can contact the owner based on the rabies tag.

Tell Jeff Horchak to call the number on the tags and give them the ID number. They will tell him the dogs name, owner's name, and address...

It's amazing how many people dont know what those rabies tags do...

pretty much all of the vet buildings in the Denham Springs area went under water. Not really sure there'd be anyone there to answer the phone.

FYI - Jeff is a news reporter/anchor with KLFY in Laffy

no clue how a dog from DS ended up 70 miles West Would be a long strange trip if the K9 walked/swam

perhaps the owner is temporarily living in Laffy with relatives and dog escaped
