Have a new puppy and got to experience Dick Russell with my first dog and was great. Our vet said since dick's death the quality had gone down. He recommends la capital city obedience club. Anyone Have any experience with this group?

Have experience with both Dick's successor, Larry, and with LCCOC. Larry is good with basic obediance. I feel like LCCOC is better. Their focus is on preparing dogs for competition, so everything is taught to a very high level with distractions added in to expose any weakness a dog may have. They then provide instruction on how to correct the weak areas. They have TONS of experienced trainers to draw from and offer multiple levels of training. That's what really drew me to them. I wanted advanced training and Larry is so busy that he rarely has time for an advanced class. One advantage Larry does offer is one price for the life of your dog. You can retake a class at any time. You can achieve the same at LCCOC by becoming a member of the club.
