I don't ever remember seeing one with light colored sides like this one. I don't know if piebald is a genetic thing or not, but I know one was killed near us several years ago.

Here's a pic of the other side

I also got some pics of some decent bucks I'll put up shortly.

I think it's just light exposure with the sun and the camera making the fawn look different than you would expect

Could be, but I have pictures of other fawns that have spots all the way down the side. Who knows...it just looked odd to me.

It's amazing how fast that bone can grow on top of their heads. They've been wearing the mineral blocks out!

Even new born fawns licking the salt.

Lightsout 8

I've had this camera out for probably 4 years straight. It takes 12 AA batteries, but they last all year.

Thanks. I'm about done with Primos cameras and I've been looking at Wildgame Innovations

Most of the cheap WGI cameras I've had all crapped out in no time. This one costs more, but has held up well.

Reb, do you just use standard red cattle blocks that you can get at any feed store? That's what it looks like to me.

Thanks

Yep. Just standard cattle blocks.

I put out a couple thousand pounds on 80 acres each year. They're gonna have high blood pressure when I'm done with them.
