DIY home log miller using a table saw

Anyone have some raw logs laying around they want to turn into fence posts, furniture or something decorative?
This guy came up with a pretty cool machine for home log milling using a table saw.

Thats putting side force on the blade. I don't think the arbor would last long.

I would imagine using a thicker blade would help and just not trim off much at a time but I have seen people really abuse their tables saws for years and years and they still run.
I wouldn't try this on my primary saw but I would probably get an old one or table top model to run this one.
