Been debating on purchasing a Desert Tech SRS A1 308, I've shot a friends & it really feels good to shoot. Any OB'er own one? Are they worth the coin they are asking for them? My buddy who owns one is a new owner so I'm also wondering if any of the OB'ers are seasoned owners to the rifle and has it maintained its accuracy.

Great guns. I was worried when they changed ownership and became Desert Tech that they would wind up going away, but they are still around so I guess the ownership change was for the better.

That being said I could never get used to operating a bolt the way that theirs does. Just felt odd especially if I was running the gun fast. I doubt you will be running and PSR matches so I say go for it.

Things I like about DT rifles are how compact they are for a normal sized barrel (trait of bullpup) and how easy it is to change barrels. I do think that it is a lot of coin for a rifle which is not too different in performance than some of the nice custom guns out there. If you want to switch barrels easily, I say go for it but I would rather get a Surgeon or GA precision as I wouldn't have a need to change calibers. I have shot several Surgeons and they are simply amazing. If you want to go the custom route, get a Surgeon Action, a proof research barrel, and an AX AICS chassis and you would still be around the same price as DT.
