Delta Marina Cabins in Empire, experiences? are they decent?

Anyone ever stay in them? Are they decent, cleaned, etc? Bringing wife and worried about meeting her standards (mine are low)...either staying there or Micro-Tel Inn in Belle Chasse, thanks in advance.

I helped build the marina for my uncle, stayed in them for 2 summers to work when not at LSU. Its kind of tight but 2 people is no big deal.
They have a stove, fridge, sink, microwave, tv, two bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
I think the cleaning ladies come after you leave, no daily service if I recall. They used to go in everyday, but I think they changed.
If your fishing out of there, they're worth it more than driving down from Belle Chase.
I don't know what they rent for. But if the price is comparable and your fishing out of Empire, I would definitely recommend them

Convenience is what they offer. Stayed there a few times and my last time was 3 years ago because they went down hill.
If they did not put more work into them or actually had a good cleaning service, then it may not meet your wife's standards. Over priced.

For $110 they aren't a bad deal. I had one bad experience -- woke up with a shite ton of bug bites. I guess that can be somewhat expected though.

Thanks guys, they quoted $100 and Micto-Tel in $129, gonna run to 4Bayou so it's a push (only a few miles difference). Leaning towards hotel for cleanliness sake...

I'd stay again. Fished a IFA event and they catered it well. The restaurant was fine but nothing fabulous. I'd be concerned about the bug bites though

If you are still launching in Empire it's a 25-30 min drive from the microtel.
I've stayed at some of the other places in the area (empire inn and Joshua's marina) and didn't have any trouble.
