Anyone ever been out here?

The wife is sick, so I might make the trip sunday with the lil dude if the rain finishes up.

I have not fished on the pier itself but have fished in the bayou. If you are lucky, you may catch redfish or bass. More than likely you will catch hardheads.

I dont know much about the delacroix pier but i know that in the winter bayou loutre in hopedale is a fire spot. you dont even need a boat you can just fish on side the bank. i fish the area often but not in winter bc of deer season

Much more freshwater cats now in Delacroix than hardheads.

Fished by the first culvert in Hopedale as soon as you make the right turn off the bridge. Caught 4 keeper trout, and 2 18 inch Drum. Just be prepared for lots of snags if you fish the bottom.
