My body is ready. I was pretty burned out at the end of last season, but that feeling has long faded. The property I shot all my deer on last season is 25' underwater right now, though....

If you're leaving $100,000 worth of beans to the deer every year, you're the official new OB Baller. No second place.

I want a tour of your spread.

I've got about 2,000 acres of soybeans planted that the deer apparently think are for them.

My dad and I put out 4K lbs of protein yesterday. Was a hot one.

Deer season makes it all worth it though.

That's hard to believe if it's specifically for deer. How much does that cost?

You could do it for $3500 for just the seed.

Go to a farmer and tell him you want to buy 350 bushels of soybeans out of his bin for $10 per bushel. Drill 60 pounds to the acre. 95% percent chance you can also spray roundup over the top.

Why don't farmers do that every year? Is it illegal to replant harvested seed

Yes it is illegal because someone else owns the technology in those seeds. They will take your farm if you are caught doing this. If you are planting for a deer plot you should be ok. There are some first generation roundup varieties that you can save the seed and replant.

Planted plot yesterday. 4 acres of corn. 2 acres of soybeans. It's never to early.

ETA. I only have 150 acres. Im no OT BALLER. Unfortunately i havent won the lottery, got daddy's land or married a Texas billionaire's daughter. I do have a neighbor across the creek that farms about 500 acres of beans though.

350 acres just for deer is impressive.
