My deer lease is all swamp. There are no distinct property boundaries or markers. Over the years the cans or flagging tape have been moved or lost. The old timers do not really care if they cross over the lines but they also have a general idea of where to not go. The property isnt an exact square so you can walk off the property before you know it in some areas.
Can i get the property coordinates from the parish with out having it surveyed? I have the means to plot a satellite map if i can get the exact coordinates.
TIA

What parish is it in? Check the parish tax assessors website.

Who do you lease from? they should have a section or township number that you can look up.

I'd ask them for a map before I went to the courthouse, got copies, and plotted the metes and bounds.

If the Lessor doesn't have a map, then the above method should get you what you need if you know how to read and plot the survey from an old deed.

Its in Lafourche and Terrebone Parish. I dont hold the lease - just part of the club. I could get the leaser's name if need be.

Chances are it's either Continental Land or Terrebone Parish School board.

Find your lease on this map and see who's paying the taxes on it.

Flagging doesn't last very long anyway. Paint the trees this time
