I saved a hide from one of the bucks I killed this year and I would like to have it tanned and made into a rug. Do any of you have recommendations on where to send it or, preferably, somewhere local that I can bring it. I'm in Covington and wouldn't mind somewhat of a drive but I'm not opposed to shipping it.

thanks in advance.

Morse Taxidermy in Ponchatoula did a Sika hide for me. Nice and soft. He sends them off somewhere that does a true tan and tumble.

No where local around us will do them in house, for whatever reason they send them off and have them done off site.

there are a bunch of big quantity places that do it out west for dirt cheap, it's like 20 a piece. So it's cheaper for them to ship it after it's been fleshed out than to invest in the equipment
