Since the OB usually cost me money I figured I'd return the favor.

Academy has Shimano Curado(200I and 200IHG) on sale for $99, marked down from $179.00.

It's also no longer listed on their site but they also have the Chronarch 200 CI4 on sale for $169, marked down from $269.
*ETA: This is for the 6.3:1 and 7.2:1 ratios only.

So they're on sale at individual stores?

Yes, saw where someone confirmed one of the stores in BR has both the Curados and Chronarchs in stock. I know for sure the Chronarchs were online yesterday but are no longer listed today so I assume they've sold out of online stocks.

Downsouthdave I think just picked up the last 4 curados from the Siegen academy. He said they have left hand ci4's.

I went and got the record straight. You can never trust what downsouthdave tells you.

The Siegen Academy still has some of the 6.3 Curados in stock, and they have at least 1 Chronarch Ci4 6.2 right-hand in stock. Also have at least 1 Chronarch Ci4 7.6 left-hand in stock.

I picked up the last Chronarch Ci4 7.6 RH they had which was on display.

I've always been curious as hell why people say this? I've torn down a shite ton of Curados and Chronarchs, ranging from brand new to 20+ years old. Aside from the frame/bodies the interior parts pretty much all look interchangeable, or atleast very close. So what gives? Is it an actual difference that I've failed to notice causing the suckage or is it just perceived suckage?

The G Curados got a bad rap and justifiably, but I have a few of the newer Curados and don't have any complaints. Now the E Curados are still the goat.

For the most part your right but the CI4 Chronarchs stock spool bearings are far superior to any used in their other reels, unshielded and comparable to Boca 7's that run $70 a set imo. The G series had a bad issue with water getting inside the reel around the handle assembly, the newer version was to correct that flaw was my understanding, couldn't tell you how many sets of bearings I replaced in my G's. Just received new spools for my CI4's, they're on their 3 gen of the spools, can't get them to hold up to saltwater.
