Dead Grass from Flood Advice

So I had centipede planted in my front and side yard that I fertilized twice a year. Flood killed it all DEAD, and I have had nothing but weeds growing.
I rent the property and am moving out this summer, but don't want to look at weeds, dead roots and dust for 3 months. Any advice on anything I can toss in the throw feeder so i can have something to mow (that looks green) this spring?
Landlord doesn't care about whats planed, and I don't want to spend too much, just tired of looking at dead brown roots.
