Has anyone stay at this place overnight? Need to book a room in Venice for a deep sea fishing charter in July, this place is one of the only available.

Quite a few times. Serves the purpose. Its no 5 star resort, and the gnats get pretty serious in the evening/night. Air conditioner works and the toilet flushes and the fishing is world class. I dont think I'd bring my wife there but its great for some dudes going fishing.

What downshift said. Not luxury by any means but comfortable enough and not terrible.

It’s way better than Venice Inn by far.

Light house lodge is another option down there. Also TONS of Air B&B down there now. I haven't stayed in any of them but am at cypress cove weekly launching.

The cabins at Venice marina aren't too bad if you have a few people splitting the bill

Cypress Cove is not bad at all, wife has been there with me multiple times and never complained about it either. Can't say the same about Ricky's in Grand Isle

We usually go make a trip 3 or 4 days and keep boat in water and stay at cypress. Zero complaints and major benefit over venice is cleaning fish you can just throw carcasses in river and can drive right to it. Venice marina the head dock lady blobde was a real bi@ch about me tipping the dock hands. I will and still do it anyways. Try and avoid venice marina now unless last resort.Cypress much less crowded imo.

Stayed at cypress cove in March, wasn’t too bad, except for the mask nazi girl handling check inns

Sort of related, but not really...what ever happened to that Port Eads marina? I think they were supposed to have camps to rent.

This except to eat. Launch and stay at Cypress. Eat at Venice marina. Snapper throats and seafood potato are a venice trip must.

Shut down due to being silted in.

Try Nicole's B&B

Shut down a few years ago. South pass is pretty bad and damn near unusable. They are dredging it though so who knows, maybe it will open back up when that’s all done.

It's been a few years but CC inn isn't bad; not 5 star but good enough for shower, A/C and turlit. Hell, they even had a swimming pool out in the harbor on an island(not sure if its still open).
