My buddy asked me about getting custom made luchesse and I had never heard of such a thing. Is this a thing? If so who does this and how much do they run?

I have a pair, although not custom. Don't really see the need for custom. They are awesome boots though.

It is definitely a thing as long as he is willing to pony up about $1000-3000 depending on skin and intricacy of uppers. For that price I would much rather have a true handmade pair from ML Leddy in Fort Worth or Kimmel boot in Comanche.

I have a pair. They are nice but not a true custom boot imo. Meaning they don't take molds of your feet. If doing something besides leather you can go with exotic vamps and calf uppers. Save some money that way

But Next time I buy a pair it'll be from Leddy or similar where they take actual molds of your feet.

I got a pair of full custom for Christmas a few years back.

Great boots, i just never wear them so I don't screw em up

I went full quill and they were like $1,600. Not cheap, but I will have them for forever.
