I assume trout are there, but weather and wind have been epically uncooperative this summer so far. TIA

Wind has been great this week, and looks to be good most days into next week. Was even pretty good some days last week. Got to go to know. I am 100% sure trout are there, they have been all over the other barrier islands.

This time of year I'd recommend a livewell of croaker if you are looking to increase your odds

It’s been spotty like it typically is. Two days it’s on fire and they jump on your stringer then the next two days you can’t buy a fish. Good trips at Curlew but have also had to island/rig jump a few times after making the run there.

Saw a post this morning from FB Rigolets Fishing group of trip to Chandeleur chain this week from Pass Christian. 50 trout, 20 on top water and the rest on croakers.

Saw that same post. Jealous. I still haven't made it out that far or nailed down a solid plan to get there. Went to comfort Island again last week but skunked.

Unsure. I think I see some at Campos. I did catch a bunch out in Hopedale last week so they're out there.

Fished the Chandeleur Islands recently. Trout are there. Lots of small trout. Fished it for a couple days and I bet we caught 200+ trout (mostly 10" so threw them back). Did end up keeping 2 limits each day. Had to go through the small ones to get the 14"-16" trout. All on plastic.

Thanks for the report. Hopefully I get my boat back soon. At the trailer shop getting new bunks. They looked backed up.

Well shite. What's that a 15hp? And I'm worrying about going out that far.

You just have to pick your days when running to Chandelier with a 15. And knock the sand out your vagina.

We call them "Monkey Boats". Fun way to fish the island. It's a unique situation because you need a big boat to get there and a shallow draft boat to get around. This is why you see the big live aboard ships that drop these over the side to fish from
