I was on another site and they linked an old story about a shark attack. Shark attacked a little boy and the uncle dove in and carried the boy and the shark to shore. This wasn't a little shark.

quote:

A park service official said the boy's uncle dove into the water and pulled the boy and the 250-pound, six and a half foot shark to the shore. The uncle then wrestled the shark on the beach where a park ranger shot it three times in the head.

A park ranger pried the Sharks mouth open with a police baton and they reached in and pulled the arm out.

That uncle must be one bad dude.

After reading the comments he might not have been such a bad dude after all.

Links not working for me, but it might be my PC.
If this is the north LA. kid that bit a good while back, I heard they were chumming for fish where the kid was swimming. Not sure if true, but I'd feel obligated to go get him if so if not for any other reason.

I remember this very clearly. My family and I were down there when the attack happened.

We were staying a couple miles away. If I remember right there was also like a 10 foot shark landed near the pier not far from there the night before.

The next few days the beaches were stupid. Every little thing and people cleared the water. I remember my dad almost getting into a fight with some idiot running up and down the beach yelling shark when a pod of dolphins swam by.

Same thing happened with a turtle in the surf.
