Crabbing

Any one been crabbing lately? Thinking about going Friday. Looking for info around Big Lake or Rockefeller. Thanks in advance!

Kicked old thread not to start another.
Had a couple questions I was hoping someone may be able to help with.
1/ why don't more people go crabbing at/around Vermillion/Weeks Bay. Seems like Rockefellar is the big draw for people outside the New Orleans area.
2/ Hackberry- would going by boat and hitting the ship channel be a good bet? I remember shrimping in there and catching a lot of crabs back in the 80's but haven't been in a long time. I imagine there are places that would be good to park boat and crab from bank???
