While not knowing much about the subject, that seems dirt cheap.

We looked at putting our camp up 18' and the cost was closer to 45K for pilings and lifting. 10K seems like a steal for lifting a building and putting it on a new foundation (pilings, etc..)

Been out the game several years now but a company I worked for lifted houses. I can tell you 10k would get the dozer and cribbing delivered on site along with Jose' and JoseB Thats about it.

This, camp a few down from us decided to raise a couple more feet instead of pay insurance and it was somewhere between 40 and 50k

We have all the materials, only lacking the means of lifting and the people to do it. No road access is the PITA as well as being 5 hours away

No road access.... Damn I bet you just tripled your costs. Will take likely 2 cranes which would have to be brought in by barge, materials. I bet you are talking adding another zero to your 10K quote you didn't like.

It's expensive hence the reason our camp is still on cinder blocks 4' off the ground.

We went up from 6' to 20' in Manchac. Had all new pilings and steel I beams. Cost around 35K. This included a new staircase as well. Our camp is only accessible by boat.

For a shed maybe but that won't cover a house.

damn...my back is going to hurt...
pilings.. come-a-longs... and manual labor it is.

seems like the could slave some hydraulic jacks together with a computer and lift is a foot or two at a time.
