Corrected Coordinates are N 29 09.356 W 90 06.243 Thanks geauxpimp

I hit what looked like a large piece of concrete/rock in the surf on Elmer’s Island. This was not either of the sets of pilings in the surf, but between them. The tip was barely visible on an incoming tide.

Approximately 4.5 miles from Caminada Pass and maybe 100 – 150 feet off the beach. I was lucky others may not be so.

Be careful out there.

Report it to the USCG. If it is imovable, it will be placed on nautical charts.

Those coordinates are 12 miles north of Elmer's Island. Did you transpose some numbers?

Call DNR/office of coastal management at 226 342 7591. Ask for hazardous fishermens gear fund. Peggy rooney used to be over it. May still be. They can recompensate sometimes.
