This music is shite, but the dog is cool. My buddy and I shoot rails from time to time from the platform while poling for redfish.

Pretty sure it is illegal to shoot from a moving vessel like that.
Also dude is brave as hell for bringing a nice O/U around saltwater like that.

That's probably 100 years worth of professional guiding knowledge on that boat. I don't know that they would make that kind of mistake.
I have always been under the impression that if you are on pole or paddle, it's fair chase and legal. We shoot the occasional rail while poling.

This is Louisiana regs and it's always been illegal to run down birds with the motor. If you are paddling or poling that shouldn't be against any laws. It appeared to me that they were poling in the video. There is nothing illegal about shooting ducks from a paddled boat, kayak, or canoe.

I was thinking the same thing. I couldn't imagine poling being any different than a paddling.
