Current driveway is gravel/crushed concrete/limestone...honestly not sure. Would like a solid concrete driveway poured. Approx 20' X 100' in Slidell. Anyone have a ballpark idea of what that would cost? Any recommendations for contractors? Thanks in advance!

Here we go. I've seen a half dozen threads on here about concrete. People end up insulting each other about their ability to calculate how many yards are needed and what is a reasonable price. This should be fun.

If you're going four inches thick, you've got 25 cubic yards of concrete. The cost of $25 CY is going to be $2,500.

I'd pay Chad Ducre $1.25 SF, which is another $2,500. He can be reached at: 985.218.1442.

Next, figure wire mesh, form material, and expansion joint for another $750.

Can you tailgate all of the concrete? If not, prepare for either a pump truck or a few Georgia Buggies. Budget $750 for placing equipment.

You're safe at $6,500 to place a 20' x 100, driveway in Slidell.
