Looking for suggestions for a carpenter/designer to help with a closet rebuild. I thought about California closets or similar or just hiring a carpenter- bit I would need help with design. Ideally I would like the same outfit that would design and build it? Maybe unrealistic expectations

Just tell your dad. He'll still love you no matter what lifestyle you choose.

I thought I'd get more mature answers on this board than the OT bd

How big is this closet you are redesigning? And i assume you're wanting prefab stuff?

Not really prefab stuff - the closet is 15x20? It's a odd shape that looks like a L - it goes around the water closet

I'd think most home remodelers could help you out with ideas and put it together for you.

15x20?

Well dang. My closet is 9x16, with 11ft ceilings, and it feels massive. How tall are the ceilings?

You will probably come out much cheaper with a cabinet guy. My buddy and I built mine. The closet is currently messy as hell but you get the idea. I think it is 9'x15' with 9' ceilings. We have a mix of corner shelves, double clothing racks and single tall rack for dressed and such.

He makes that shite out of oak, not cedar. Unacceptable.

You must spend a lot of time in your closet. I see you're in there enough to warrant peanuts and wine.

And congrats on the Crocs. I knew you were a legit baw.

I have to be prepared to meet with all walks of life from good·y two-shoes to OBers...

ETA: that isn't wine, it is some wood in a bottle they use in the dominican to make a drink that sucks. My wife brought it home and it ended up on my side...

Maybe this will give you ideas. We had out trim carpenter build it out when we built. Kinda came up with the layout together. It's about 13x15 and 10' cielings. It's mostly for the wife as you can tell by the short stack for my shoes lol. The extra closet is for my guns n stuff.

Very nice man. Apparently we need to throw some clothes away. Our entire closet is a good size and full...3 rows high. It's ridiculous.
