What about ladder stands? I change the straps yearly and I normally chain them to the tree with a turnbuckle.
Wonder what the stats are on these types?
Also, I recently purchased a Hunter Safety System vest to wear.

My dad jumped out of a deer stand about 10 years ago, does that count? Sat down in the seat and a wasp nest dropped out from under it. Jumped out and hurt one of his legs. As he was limping back to the truck, stepped off in a hole and hurt his other leg. Wasn't as serious as it could have turned out to be though.
