Clearance guns at Academy

Not sure if this is going on at all locations but I picked up a 9mm 5.25 XDM at the Houma Academy last night for $375. They said they had just sold a Kimber Ultra Carry for $450. Figured I would pass along the possible deal if anyone else wanted to check their local store.

Might be dropping the prices a tad to take advantage of the run on guns that is starting to/might happen. I was at Houma Academy yesterday looking at AR's. I don't want to spend a lot but I'd like to have a respectable one. Any advice? I don't really care for Bushmasters btw.

I don't know. But about 5 years ago I was browsing thru Academy and saw some rifles for $179. I thought they were 22's. Come to find out, they had a clearance in Savage 270's.
I bought 1 for me and 1 for a friend. I called another friend in BR and he went and bought 2. Many deer and hogs have been killed with these cheap rifles. 1 has even taken an elk.

Yeah I would have gone with the Kimber but they had just sold it. Not the biggest XD fan but I can learn to like it for 375 lol

Didn't see any on clearance in covington. Didn't ask them to scan any though.

The prices are great, even with the FFL fee (normally $25), free shipping, and plenty of stock.
I have had a lot of success buying off them. I doubt I ever buy local again after doing business with them. Also, check out their specials on new and used. Good ammo prices as well.

Won't tell how much I spent, but I essentially completed my collection of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Love shopping there. Also another savings in the form of no sales tax.
I'm single these days and decided I had better get all of my toys before I met someone and in the unlikely event decided to settle down again. I am retiring in roughly three years and have a few hunts planned for not only as I near that date, but thereafter. I want to make sure I have all the needed equipment for hunting, target shooting, or self-defense.
