In the market for a game camera that will send text to me. Anybody got any recommendations on brand/type/service? TIA

Covert Code black on ATT. Highly recommend. Has been in the field for almost 3 full years and not one problem so far.
ETA: Uses 12 AA batteries which we have to change about every 3 months.

Covert camera. For service choose AT&T or Verizon. Which ever is best in your area. The two carriers I mentioned were the only options when I bought. Things might be different now.

I'm in the market also. Covert and Bushnell were the 2 that stood out to me.

I think that's about what we paid. Maybe try Amazon but it would be a shocker to them heavily discounted.

Bought two spypoint non text cameras a few years back. They were shite.
Things might have improved now days. When I purchased they had high ratings but I had no such luck

FYI the Covert Verizon cameras eat batteries way WAY too fast. I got one for my FIL and batteries last 2 weeks at most and that's not with a ton of pics. All the online reviews mimic this, he's Verizon so I saw the reviews but still figured it would be better. I don't know how well they last without using cell signal as that could be the issue.
