Anyone know of switch i could buy that would allow me to turn a switch on and off remotely with a cellular phone? The switch would be 12 volt.

those are wifi. I assume he wanted one with its own cell antenna. This could be done but would need its on cell plan. Which it probably why there are no off the shelf items for this.
OP, is this for a permanent set up or something temporary? is there power there?

I realize it may need its own number and payment plan. This is something temporary and would have a 12 volt battery for power, not 120 volt AC. I wonder what people use for those hog traps i see online.

jut looking at the picture the DC in is 6v-36v. So you can power it via 12v, but the circuit you are putting the relay on would need to be 12v as well.

I asked about this on the tech board and got no response. When 3G was disconnected in the US it took almost all of the cheap Chinese options off the market, because the 4G chips are larger and more expensive.
This one supposedly works but I haven’t taken the plunge. Do not buy the cheaper ones, they all say 4G but in the fine print show they only work on 2G, and won’t in the US.
There are some guys on YouTube that are taking reolinks (cheap-ish security cams) and wiring the “alarm” function to trigger a relay. That way you get the camera and trigger in one. This is the route I am about to go with our trap when I get the time to fool with it. Search reolink pt go hog trap and it’ll be the first few results on YouTube.

i'll check those out, thanks. The small device i need to turn off and on is 12 volts as well, so one battery should be able to power everything at once without any voltage convertors.

If it says it will work on 2G, 3G, or 4G then it is the older style that won’t actually work in the US with current networks. Some sellers will volunteer that info, others are plenty happy for you to figure it out on your own and then give you the run around on a return. If you look at the reviews on Amazon around 2022 they all go south.
