Wife had done everything necessary to send in paperwork. I see that you can fill it out online. If it is done online, I take it you follow up by sending the prints in via US Mail? Is this correct? TIA

Sending the print in the mail will add months to the wait, better to go to State Police HQ

Apply online. Within 15 days go to LSP HQ for finger prints. After that it should be about 2-3 weeks before it shows up in mail.

Do everything online. It speeds up everything when they aren't having to sift through paper. And yes go to LSP HQ for prints. If you are out of the city, call and see whose prints close to you they would accept.

My wife's was less than a week when fingerprinting at LSPHQ and applying online.

I renewed online.
Back in April. Updated class in beginning of june. Got my receipt to purchase my permit August 24th. Still have not received my permit in the mail.

I've called the state and gotten no response for this question I'm fixing to ask y'all..
Does anyone know the legality of carrying with my expired permit with the paperwork stating I was accepted and paid for the permit renewal...

I believe it says in the email that you aren't allowed to carry until you receive the actual permit even though you've been approved. It sounds pretty dumb, though. What difference does it make?
