Went with a buddy and his dad today. We had some up to 4 lbs and quite a few over 2 lbs. My best box of trout this year.

Nothing at all, but nothing bores the hell out of me like fishing with dead shrimp under a cork.

eta: I use dead shrimp every once in a while if fishing is tough and I just wanna go catch some reds/drum/sheeps

so it's less exciting than using the live shrimp you always have with you?

you and I both know live shrimp cannot be bought anywhere in the area after August.

And live bait carolina rigged is always a blast. Outside of about 4 months of the year that I use live bait, it's completely unnecessary.

It's clear that the bag of shrimp wasn't even used, and if it was, that box would be a lot different.

Rarely do I fish with live bait or stink bait. I've fished with live shrimp once this year. It's artificial 98% of the time for me, but I don't knock those who get it. I just think it makes me a better fisherman sticking to plastics

Dead shrimp tight lining on schools of sheeps can be a blast.
