I got new Dexter torsion axles put on my trailer 2 years ago at Mike Gerald’s. (Note I called them because I noticed it right away and they basically said I could bring it back but it would cost for them to look at it and fix it)

2006 26’ twin vee. Since then I have noticed a lot of wear on the outside of both tires on the passenger side. There is no abnormal wear on the drivers side.

Any ideas on the cause? I’m trying to find another trailer shop near me that will take a look.
tires started showing terrible wear after a few hundred miles. If I could make it a few years and then replace the tires I would be less concerned, but at this rate they will need to be replaced 2-3 times a year.

Did it start this recently? Or did you just notice the wear?

I’ve noticed it since I got the axles put on.

Obvious question, you've taken a square to them to see if they installed them correctly, right? Even better would be a laser square...

It's kinda hard to screw up torsion axles but Mike Geralds could do it. Check if they're square or not.

Square front to back or square up and down?

Mainly that they are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the centerline of the trailer.

Look up the installation manual for the axles you have and it will detail how to check that.

Afterwards, I'd check that the spindles are parallel to the axles.
