They're doing Carbine I on the 30th and Carbine II on the 31st. Heard lots of great things about these guys, so I think I'm going to try and get off that Saturday/Sunday to take both. They're also doing an Armed Movement In Structures course with Shivworks in March that Bapple and I are planning on attending

LINK

Carbine I:
quote:

TOPICS COVERED:
Zeroing
Mechanical Offset
Ammo Selection
Carbine and Support Gear Set Up
Stance
Presentation of Target
Weapon Manipulations to include Reloads and Malfunctions
Strong Side to Support Side Transitions
In Extremis Shooting Positions
Marksmanship Fundamentals

Carbine II:
quote:

Carbine II builds on the basic concepts learned in Carbine I utilizing advanced tactics and scenario-based carbine deployment, with a focal point of short to midrange engagements most likely to be encountered by law enforcement and armed civilians.

Prior Instruction Required: Carbine I or equivalent

TOPICS COVERED:
Multiple Target Engagements
Use of Cover
Carbine to Pistol Transitions
Employing the Carbine In and Around Vehicles
Moving and Shooting

I think it's $180/course with a discount if you take both in the same weekend.

Anyone else wanna come?

Damn.

Sent a guy your way yesterday or the day before. Did he call you? Most of our clientele don't mind the $50 transfer fee, but the exchanges with the ones that do mind typically go like this:

"What do yall charge for transfer?"
"$50"
"XXXXX is cheaper"
"Sulzer is cheaper than everyone. If not us, go to Sulzer."

then i give your number.

Yeah, they stopped by today and got some AR stuff. Guy said something about maybe ordering a gun in the future and that you referred him to me. I appreciate it .

BTW, I figured out the other day from one of your post that I went to high school with RM who works the gun counter with you.

where in robert is this place?
I live just west of there and might like to go to the intro course but I don't own an AR (I assume that's what they mean by carbine)

It's at a private range across the street from Hidden Oaks. The range is awesome. I plan on taking both carbine classes. Just not sure if I'm going to make the January ones yet.

It is owned by a local guy. It's not joinable.

I haven't officially registered for AMIS yet (just paid for school so cash is tight), but I'm going to lock in Carbine I and II early next week. Can't wait.
