CA rules are so complicated. one pole, barbless hooks, no fishing zones. Someone needs to develop an App that tells you what you can do at any given spot. I caught a couple of smallies on the Russian River near Guerneville a few weeks ago. Was waiting for lawdog to come tell me what i was doing wrong.
To the OP, bream are live bait. Why wouldn't you be able to use them for bass? We sure use them for trotline goujons.

you can use them for bass - no problem. It is very common to use them for Striped Bass on Toledo - and very effective.
