Head Slash,(or anyone who's been) I saw you posted where you got a BMC from Southern Heritage. I was wondering if you went to the place to pick up the dog or got it shipped to you. Reason I ask is I plan on going soon to look at some puppies. I previously got a BMC from a place that was basically a puppy mill and my dog had bad health problems. The breeder told me who the mom and dad of the pups were but I don't think he really had a clue because dogs were able to get in and out of the pen with the bitch.
I'm curious if this place is the same or if it's actually run correctly. Thanks, R. Head

Are you dead set on a BMC? Bc they have an excellent catahoula (cur) breeder in Abita Springs.

Actually, my son wants either a BMC or a Catahoula for Christmas. I'm partial to the BMC because I've owned them before and I love the way they act. Are Catahoula's similar? I mainly use them to track wounded deer.

From my experience the catahoula and the bmc are similar, but the bmc may be the better of the two. If I had it to do over again I'd get the bmc instead of the catahoula. Maybe it's just my dog, but he's a problem child for sure.

Call Curtis Ladner and see what he has or if he can point you to someone with pups. They will be guaranteed dogs. He is a good guy and easy to talk to. 228-860-5279

You won't find a better person to deal with.

Here is another guy that has some good dogs.
