Is it possible to take these chrome inlays off?

It appears like its just black panels under it like on trucks without the chrome package.

It depends if they are actually built into the pillars or if they are just glued/stuck to black strips on the pillars. If they protrude a bit, they may be removable. But you also run the risk of throwing your weather stripping out of whack and causing a leak. Be cautious.

Hit them with a hair dryer for a few minutes, see what happens.

They are either separate pieces you can get non chrome replacements of or they are an overlay for the originals, or you can have the pieces painted.

As asked, what type of vehicle

They appear to be held on with adhesive and painted underneath

from the picture, they LOOK like stick ons. but hard to tell.

as mentioned, heat them up with a hair dryer for a few minutes and see if they give. If so, take a peice of fishing line in both hands and go back forth behind the adhesive. This has worked well for me in the past.

Cover with a vinyl wrap is the easiest option. Pic of some covered in carbon fiber patterned vinyl wrap.

the chrome is stuck on with tape as mentioned before. they'll come off but if you're seeing black under them then the black out tape was applied before they were stuck on and you're going to mess it up when taking them off.

The black out tape is $20.45 per door from Dodge and it's a pain in the arse to replace. you can peel it off (also a pain in the arse),
roll down the windows,
pull the run channels out (they snap right back in, very easy),
scuff the pillars,
mask the truck
and black them out yourself with spray paint of your choice (gloss, semi-glass or flat) then put it all back together.

if there is no black out tape underneath, pull them mother frickers off and roll all the tape that's left off with your thumb (pain in the arse). any residue left just clean it off with a light solvent cleaner.

Really just leave them in the sun all day during this time of year. Will peel right off.
