Anyone have any experience with them? Looking to get back into bow hunting and there bows meet the budget however I don't want to buy something that will break after 5 shots

What is your total budget ? You will need the following:

bow
sight
rest
release
peep
arrows - dozen
BH's - 1/2 dozen
quiver

stuff adds up fast

I believe bowtech makes the Cabela's branded bows, so I would think they are pretty good.

They are all made by bowtech now so I would say they should be pretty decent for a budget bow

Take a look at mission archery, they're budget bows made by Mathews. I thoroughly enjoy mine.

Have you been been to a reputable bow shop and been fitted for your true draw length ? If you're a 27.5" draw, and that Outback is a 30" draw you're wasting your time. You will need to buy a 27.5" cam ($100) and likely new strings ($100). So your $250 investment is now $450. You've wasted $200 that could be used towards accessories. And, you have a bow that is still only worth $250.

The Outback was introduced in 2004, and discontinued in 2006 so the bow could be 13 yrs old. The odds of finding replacement parts (limbs, cams, etc..) are not favorable. It's been my experience that most archery manufacturers will stock or produce replacement bow parts for 10 yrs.

My advice, go to several different bow shops and get fitted. See what's out there, become a sponge, and ask questions. Don't just buy the first bow you find for $200-$250 as you could be wasting you're money. Once you know you're DL, then start shopping bows, preferably less than 5-6 yrs old. Feel free to ask any more questions as I've been shooting and hunting with compound bows since 1984.

got measured for at a 29.5 draw length. thanks for the input on the bow i will let it pass because the guy could not really give me specifics on the draw length and really don't want to get screwed. if i have any other question i will ask .. i just don't want to seem like a bother will stupid questions.

There are no stupid questions when it comes to spending $500 on hunting equipment that demands respect.
Carbon arrows need to be "flexed" and checked periodically for defects.
Otherwise they could splinter and result in the pic below.
Doesn't happen very often but you need to be aware of possible defects and inspect your equipment.....
(bow limbs, strings fraying, tree stands, safety harnesses, safety ropes, etc ....)

I know that kind of thing usually happens with an overdraw rest, but could just as easily happen with an arrow blowing up on the release.

The bad thing about carbon fiber arrows is they're either straight or broke, no in between. They're awesome but I always replace them after shooting a deer with them or hitting something solid. I don't shoot many deer with a bow though.

That looks more like the arrow was too short for the bow.

I agree with picking up a used rig. You can save so much doing so and end up with something that would've been out of your price range. As stated, archerytalk has good deals on used rigs.
